Mr. Charles Edward Banks was born in Americus, GA on January 27, 1953 to the late Ms. Rosa Lee Banks and the late Mr. Arthur Lee Brown.  He was educated in the public schools of Sumter County, GA.  He worked for the McNeil Farm before relocating to West Palm Beach, FL; there he was a self employed mechanic.  Charles loved fishing, and went whenever possible.  He returned to Americus in 2013 to care for his mother Mrs. Rosa Banks.


           Mr. Banks is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Ms. Rosa Clark and Ms. Mary Lois Cannon; 5 brothers, Mr. Arthur Charles Walton, Jr., Mr. Robert Walton, Mr. Thomas Brown, Mr. Arthur Brown, Jr. and Mr. Joseph Banks.


           He is survived by 2 sons, Mr. Christopher (Melanie) Banks, Marietta, GA and Mr. Charles Edward Banks, West Palm Beach, FL;  2 brothers, Mr. James Brown, Newark, NJ and Mr. Carl Brown, West Palm Beach, FL; 4 sisters, Ms. Ozzie Bell (Walter) Clark and Ms. Annie Brown, both of West Palm Beach, FL, Mrs. Ruby Mae (Robert) James, Columbus, OH and Ms. Carolyn Hightower, Americus, GA; 5 grandchildren:  Christopher Banks, Jr., Micah Banks, Malik Banks, Moriah Banks and Chiriya Banks;  1 brother-in-law, Mr. Bobby Clark, West Palm Beach, FL; 2 sisters-in-law, Ms. Brenda Brown, West Palm Beach, FL and Minister Annie Brown, Americus, GA;  a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive.
